Rev. Gail Kerstetter - Director of University Singers

 

I came to Southern Wesleyan University in 2008 from Tuscaloosa, Alabama where my son Devin and his wife Emily still reside. Directing the University Singers is one of the best highlights of my life. Being able to experience ministry with students, who are more like family, is so incredible to me. I like every shade of blue, hate fat free food and prefer a Bahama breeze to an arctic blast. I have a love and passion for A Capella music, tight harmonies, and solid vocal pitches. Chick-Fil-A and Cracker Barrel are my best friends and provide a great deal of comfort to me and the troops! On a serious note - the ministry of the University Singers has impacted my life more than I could have ever expected. I could never have known how God would have taken this team and used us beyond our wildest imaginations!

Rev. Bob Kerstetter - Accompanist for University Singers

 

I came to Southern Wesleyan University with my wife Gail in 2008. I love being part of the "behind the scenes" of University Singers. I get the easy job of walking in after they have spent many hours in rehearsals and play a little piano accompaniment (just to make them sound good)! I also gets to spend quite a bit of time in the driver's seat of the van. During that time, most of the Singers are sleeping, listening to music or studying. When it's my turn to take a rest... well, let's just say, it never happens... laughing, telling stories, singing... all done very LOUDLY! I would take my mountain bike and a great trail through the woods any day... unless I'm with the University Singers.
